Find what grade you need on the concluding exam to reach a target form for the course.

If you know your current form and the weight of the concluding exam, you lot can summate the form y'all need on the final to reach your target course grade.

Final Exam Grade Calculation

This estimator uses the formula:

\( F = \dfrac{M - ((i - w) \times C)}{w} \)

Where:

F = Last exam grade
G = Form yous want for the class
w = Weight of the concluding exam, divided past 100 (put weight in decimal form vs. percentage form)
C = Your current form

Concluding Class Grade Calculation

Sometimes y'all'll get your final exam grade but the instructor hasn't yet posted final class grades. You tin can use this reckoner to observe your terminal class grade once you know your final exam score. Utilize the formula:

Where:

Thousand = Grade you'll receive for the form

Example Last Test Class Calculation

My form in Statistics course is 85%. I want to get at least an A- or 90% in the class for the term. What score practise I demand on the terminal examination if it is worth 40% of my course?

Using the Last Examination Form formula above, I want a xc in the form and I currently take an 85. The terminal is worth forty% of the term grade.

First, catechumen the weight of the final exam from percent to decimal: twoscore ÷ 100 = 0.40

Going into finals my form in Economics was 91%. My final exam score was 88.6% and it was worth xv% of my grade for the course. What is my final grade in the class?

Using the Concluding Course Grade formula above, F = 88.6, w = 15, and C = 91.

Beginning, catechumen the weight of the last test from percent to decimal: fifteen ÷ 100 = 0.15

\( K = 88.6 \times 0.15 + ((ane - 0.15) \times 91) \)
